La Vieille Fromagerie Luxury Bed & Breakfast
La Vieille Fromagerie built in the early 19th century was until the mid-1960s a working goats cheese farm and dairy. The buildings have been completely renovated, the farmhouse as the B&B and the dairy as three luxury holiday gites.
In the farmhouse we have three bedrooms full of French charm and original features available for you to choose from:
A spacious double room with sole use of the master bathroom including a power shower and corner bath.
A comfortable and bright twin bedroom with fully tiled en-suite shower room.
A generous double room with fully tiled en-suite shower room.
All three bedrooms are centrally heated and fully equipped including a TV/DVD/CD player and tea/coffee making facilities. In addition to this we provide fluffy white towels, complimentary toiletries and hairdryers
In addition we can provide an extra bed or cot in any of the rooms for a small charge.
Your continental breakfast is served in our farmhouse dining room with fresh bread and pastries alongside a selection of our home made jams as well as cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit.
Table d'hôte is available every evening and comprises of a home cooked four course meal, including fresh produce from our own garden, together with coffee and wine.
All B&B and gite guests have shared use of the 10 x 5m swimming pool which is fenced and alarmed and the 3.5 acres of garden and grounds, including a children's play area. The swimming pool area has an ample supply of sun loungers and parasols.
La Vieille Fromagerie is located on the edge of the picturesque and historic village of Brux with excellent local amenities including shop, bar/restaurant, museum and 11th Century church. Our unspoilt rural location is perfect for walking, cycling, birdwatching and relaxing. Nearby attractions include Futuroscope and La Vallee des Singes. Poitiers, Cognac, Angouleme, Limoges and the coast are all within easy reach.
